Global Grants are an innovative form of financial delivery mechanism for EU funding programmes whereby a package of projects is delivered as if it were a single project for the purposes of financial control.

Although rarely used (with the exception of the Irish Local and urban development programme and in Italy) they are seen as being an important delivery model for freeing up the end-user from the bureaucracy of EU funding.
